All aboard

North Conway had a great idea for a fundraiser to benefit a children's hospital the day we were there. A 5 hour train trip around the area. But it happened to be totally sold out. Fantastic for the organizers. Luckily, we still managed to enjoy a 55 minute train ride on an old fashion steam engine. It was really fun. The car we rode in was beautiful. Old, warm, mahogany wood, with beautiful lighting and very 1800 decor. Each seat was facing a window, and the windows were down. Picture Queen here was in her glory. Even the train station was what you would think a century old station should look like. The stewart in our car, Rex, is a proud 9th generation local gentleman who had a wealth of knowledge of the area and shared with us other great sites and adventures to do while we are visiting. As you can imagine, I took tons of pictures on the train ride and they are following in the next post......stay tuned.
