Back in my day.....lol....there was a store on Main Street Bracebridge which was simply named "Elliott's 5 & 10 cent store." I think that was the name. Well, in North Conway they have a great penny candy store that reminds me of that. You go in, find what you like, and leave with a bag of candy that didn't cost you a mint. I love feeling like a kid again.
