The Faneuil Hall was built in 1742 to be used as a town hall meeting area and market for towns people. It was the site of many meeting before the American Revolution. Samuel Adams, a patriot spoke here. He is famous for being one of the fathers of the Revolution, but also for signing the Declaration of Independence.
The Hall was actually under construction on our visit, so we couldn't go in.
But Quincy Hall was open. What an incredible place that is. Inside is a wealth of food stalls, shopping, Starbucks (just wrong), Cheers, souvenirs shops and much more. All around it, there are high end shops as well as name brand stores, The Gap, American Eagle.
The market area actually consists of 3 gigantic shops. Quincy, North and South Markets. Built in 1826. You could spend an entire day just hanging out and grazing all the great food stalls.
But the best thing about this area is the New England Traditional food. Clam Chowdah. Lobster Rolls. Jumbo shrimp. I need a antacid!
