The Freedom Trail

This is a great idea and we had not seen it before visiting Boston. On the sidewalks, there is red coloured bricks or paint, that you follow to find your way along the Freedom Trail. You really can't get lost....unless maybe if you are coloured blind I suppose...no disrespect intended. Signs are also posted along the way with arrows directing us. These beautiful plaques are along the routes and I had to take a picture of our feet on them.
We did the Boston Common (the oldest public park in the US) to Faneuil Hall (erected in 1742 as a place for town meetings and a public market) walk which is only about 1 mile long and took us about 2.5 hours, with lots of stops. It was really easy to follow. Interesting. We are planning on doing another one tomorrow....Faneuil Hall to Charlestown.
