Ascent to Mt. Washington Part 4: The View from the top

What a rush? It was totally exhilarating to be on top of Mt. Washington. The wind was so strong, we actually didn't stay out too long but for only short periods of time. (A record wind of 240 plus mph wind still holds).
Everything was covered with snow and ice, but with the wind effect, it looked really neat. We could not see where the heck we were. On the Observation platform we couldn't even make out the layout of it.
The crooked picture, you might wonder, was taken with the self timer option on my camera, but the wind would not cooperate. I wrapped the strap around a pole and thus a tippy picture of us. God forbid if my camera flew off the mountain! But I really wanted the shot.
I took the picture of the hikers, there were four in total, that came out of nowhere. Obviously they climbed to get to the top.....I am totally impressed because I was fearful of straying too far from the building.
There was a gift shop, restaurant, post office, museum, information center and weather station built and cabled to the mountain.
